Job summary

Peterson Company in Auburn, WA is seeking an Inventory Planner to manage forecasting, inventory levels, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, in-office, with a focus on aligning demand, supply, and financial goals.

The candidate will forecast at SKU/category/location levels, monitor health, manage launches and promotions, and produce actionable insights for leadership. Strong Excel and ERP skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Experience in inventory planning and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory and demand forecasts at SKU, category, and location levels.
• Monitor inventory health and performance; resolve shortages, overstocks, and expiry risks.
• Manage inventory planning for new product launches, promotions, and seasonal demand fluctuations.
• Analyze inventory and sales trends, forecast accuracy, and KPIs; provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare inventory reports, dashboards, and analyses for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Partner with Merchandising, Category Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to align strategies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning inputs.
• Maintain data integrity across ERP and planning systems.
• Drive continuous improvement to forecasting accuracy and reporting.
