Job summary

Lee Industries is seeking a full-time Buyer at our Conover, NC location. The role supports manufacturing operations through data-driven purchasing decisions, supplier coordination, and inventory optimization.

You will partner with Operations, Planning, and Stockroom teams to ensure timely procurement of quality materials aligned with production needs. The position requires 3–5 years in purchasing, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret purchasing and inventory data.
• Proficiency in Excel with formulas and data analysis.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) with professional communication.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel periodically between plant locations and the High Point showroom.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze purchasing, usage, and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Recommend quantities and delivery timing based on forecasts and inventory levels.
• Monitor supplier performance related to pricing, delivery, and quality; follow up on late or at-risk items.
• Support supplier discussions on delivery, quality, and pricing with guidance from senior purchasing leadership.
• Execute purchase orders as part of an overall purchasing strategy.
• Maintain purchasing data integrity within ERP/MRP systems.
• Support inventory planning, including weekly inventory reviews and replenishment analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuity of operations and shared best practices.
