Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced Domain Lead to drive the discovery and definition of core products within the Global Data organization. You will bridge business strategy and data delivery, guiding investment decisions to maximize measurable outcomes and value for internal and external customers.

You will own roadmaps, align enterprise priorities, and communicate objectives across data teams, executives, and business stakeholders, while promoting data quality and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, CS, engineering, data science, or related field; MBA/CBAP or data cert preferred.
• 5+ years in data products, tech, or product-driven orgs.
• Working knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Familiarity with data processing, ELT/ETL pipelines, and data migration practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Relationship building and ability to influence without authority.
• Proactive, strategic problem-solver who identifies opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize scope, goals, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and milestones across data product initiatives.
• Own communication of business objectives and drive delivery across data teams, OCTO teams, stakeholders, and executives.
• Develop clear narratives for data products to secure stakeholder buy-in and executive support.
• Partner with stakeholders to define problems and articulate value, including success metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify expectations and deliver measurable business value.
• Measure and communicate business impact of domain and broader data initiatives.
• Advance data quality, governance, and sustainability standards across the organization.
