Job summary

Service Measure (SM) is a field data collection company focusing on non-automated data capture, including imagery and video across North America. The role involves driving routes in the USA, collecting data with 360 cameras, and ensuring high-quality imaging for mapping purposes.

The driver will work Monday to Friday, with 8 hours per day (40 hours/week); weekend work may occur due to weather. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle access, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Tech savvy; Gmail, Google Forms and Meet will be used.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes on specific schedules in the USA, 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri.

Company Description

Service Measure (SM) is a field data collection company founded in 2013 in New York.

We collect data where automation is not possible. We count features, take pictures, make videos, record speech, and scan areas for every detail you need to make more informed decisions. Our field data collection teams are spread across Europe and North America, ready to accept new challenges.

Project objective

The goal of the project is to help collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas in the USA. The project is performed on cars with 360 cameras mounted on top that image the area around the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one the most popular online maps in the world.

The data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Due to poor weather conditions some areas will be visited multiple times in order to collect the best quality of imaging. The project is expected to last from 3 to 6 months and will cover different data collection areas.

The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows well the area, traffic trends, is highly responsible and reliable.

The schedule expected on the project is Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day 40 hours per week. Due to weather downtime, work on weekends is possible.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver Licence;
• Good driving skills and clean driving record;
• General car knowledge would be a plus;
• Enjoys driving, within standard business hours;
• Available for a minimum of 3 months;
• Must have private monitored parking space for corporate vehicle;
• Great communication and reporting skills;
• Tech savvy (drivers will use Gmail, Google Forms and Google Meet);
• High level of responsibility;
• Self-motivated and detail oriented;
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check (criminal and driving record)
