Job summary

TPD is hiring a Data Collection Specialist in Warren, NJ to support traffic data collection projects. Field duties include drone photography, vehicle counts, camera/radar installations, and site surveys.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation. Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office is expected; FAA Part 107 license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• FAA Part 107 License (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
• Candidates must have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform field visits to collect traffic data (drone photography/video, MioVision camera/radar installations, manual counts).
• Prepare field checklists and site sketches; evaluate sight distances and inventory signage/equipment.
• Communicate regularly with traffic engineers, vendors, clients, and sub-contractors.
• Track count and data collection efforts on a monthly basis.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Perform field visits to collect various types of traffic data:
  • Drone aerial photography and video
  • MioVision camera and radar unit installations
  • Manual traffic and parking counts
  • Download, save and process video and other data
• Prepare field checklists:
  • Measure roadway grades, widths, and distances
  • Take site photographs
  • Prepare intersection sketches
  • Sight distance evaluations
  • Inventory roadway signs, signal equipment, utility locations, etc.
• Communicate regularly with our traffic engineers and coordinate with equipment vendors, clients, and sub-contractors.
• Track count and data collection efforts on a monthly basis.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• FAA Part 107 License (preferred)

Pay Range: $23/hour - $28/hour
