Job summary

Springfield Public Schools at Pottenger Elementary School in Springfield, MA is seeking a Data Clerk to enter data, support student information systems, and maintain accurate records.

Starting immediately, you will work under the Building Principal and Site Coordinator, contributing to a positive learning environment while ensuring confidentiality and equity for all students.

Qualifications

  • Data entry skills to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with students, parents, staff.
  • Proficiency with school information systems (PowerSchool).
  • Experience with at-risk students.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description
  • 1. Responsible to the Building Principal and will work collaboratively with the Site Coordinator.
  • 2. Enter data into various systems in order to maintain proper and accurate records.
  • 3. Maintain discretion when working with teachers, counselors, administrators, students, and parents
  • 4. Foster a positive learning environment
  • 5. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1. High Diploma or equivalent (GED), or Associate's Degree preferred
  • 2. Have adequate technology skills to effectively navigate the district's Student Information System (PowerSchool)
  • 3. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, principals/administrators and other teachers orally and in writing
  • 4. Experience working with students who have experienced educational disengagement
  • 5. Able to work effectively and have a good understanding of the interests and needs of the district's most at risk students
  • 6. Experience in working collaboratively in schools and instructional programs
  • 7. Ability to work in a fast-past diverse educational setting
  • 8. Computer literacy required
  • 9. Exhibit organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • 10. Bi-lingual preferred.
