Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Data Centre Network Engineer to design and grow its GPU infrastructure platform from a remote Germany base. You’ll build scalable BGP fabrics, integrate InfiniBand networks with Kubernetes, and influence architectural standards for AI workloads.

The role requires hands-on expertise in data centre networks, strong BGP/EVPN experience, IPv6 production use, and the ability to operate in a 24/7 production environment. German work rights are expected.

Qualifications

• Several years of data centre network engineering experience.
• Strong BGP expertise with EVPN-VXLAN or spine-leaf fabrics.
• Solid IPv6 experience in production environments.
• Experience with firewalls and load balancing at scale.
• Network automation using Python or Ansible.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Based in Germany with EU work rights.
• Happy to join an on-call rotation.

Want to build the networks behind Europe's next generation of AI compute? A fast-scaling European AI cloud provider is hiring a Data Centre Network Engineer to help design and grow its GPU infrastructure platform. The role is remote within Germany, with occasional travel to data centre sites.

This is a hands-on engineering role with real architectural influence. You'll work on high-performance networks for AI training and inference workloads, help bring new data centre sites online, and set the technical standards for the platform as it scales.
