Job summary

Daksta is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead on-site commissioning for data centre projects, ensuring HVAC and critical systems meet design and performance targets. You will collaborate with MEP engineers, contractors, and project managers to validate installation and performance, and document results for handover.

The role demands a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, deep knowledge of commissioning practices, and ability to interpret drawings and load calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical commissioning, preferably in data centres.
• Strong understanding of MEP engineering principles.
• Proficiency in electrical load calculations and interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, ISO, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Certifications in commissioning (e.g., LEED, CxA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site inspections and testing of mechanical systems to ensure proper installation and functionality.
• Collaborate with project teams to address design or operational challenges.
• Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Document commissioning activities and maintain accurate records for project handover.
• Participate in project meetings to provide updates on commissioning progress and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
