Job summary

NSC Global is seeking a Data Centre Field Engineer in the United States (New Jersey). The role focuses on installing, configuring, and supporting network and server hardware, cabling, racking, and field replaceable units.

You will monitor systems, perform backups/restores, and troubleshoot connectivity in a hands-on environment. Ideal candidates have Windows Server and Unix knowledge, exposure to iLO/Drac, and strong communication and teamwork skills to meet schedules and deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• More than 24 months in related field.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Unix.
• HVAC and UPS systems familiarity.
• Active Directory and Exchange awareness.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support network and server hardware.
• Manage copper and fibre cabling and equipment racking.
• Install/remove field replaceable units (e.g., HDDs, memory, line cards).
• Monitor networks and perform backups/restores processes.
• Troubleshoot, test, and verify connectivity.

Responsibilities

Work Experience: More than 24 months

Sound knowledge of:

• Network and server hardware and components
• Copper and fibre cabling systems
• Equipment racking and stacking (installation)
• Installation and removal of field replaceable units (e.g. hard drive, memory, line cards, transceivers)
• Network monitoring systems and usage
• Device and database backup & restore processes
• Troubleshooting and testing
• Network connectivity
• Out of band management tools such as iLO and Drac systems
