Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Yankton, SD. The position supports mission-critical infrastructure with hands-on hardware installs, cabling, server rack work, and on-site documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data centers or IT, strong cabling and server hardware skills, and excellent English communication. On-site responsibilities include on-call rotation and collaboration with NOC and client teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on-site in Yankton, SD.
• Professional communication skills in English.
• Desirable: DCIM and ticketing systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)

• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred
• Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
