Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Winter Haven, FL. The candidate will support mission-critical infrastructure in premier data center facilities and participate in on-call rotation as part of standard hours.

Responsibilities include cabling, server racking, decommissions, migrations, and cross-connect work, with a focus on documentation and teamwork with remote NOC and client teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills including Cat5e/6/6a and fiber types.
• Experience with server hardware from Dell/HP/Supermicro.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on-site in raised floor environments.
• Proficient English communication and on-site coordination with teams.

• Rack, stack and label servers and equipment.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site
• Professional communication skills in English
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred
• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred
• Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
