Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for an on-site, full-time role in Thornton, CO. You will support mission-critical infrastructure in premier data center facilities, performing hardware installs, racking, and cabling with attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data center or IT infra, solid English communication, and familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems. Industry certifications are preferred and on-site work with on-call rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional communication skills in English.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred.
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred.
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred.
• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
