Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Brooklyn, NY facilities team. This full-time, on-site role supports critical infrastructure across server, network, cabling, and environmental systems.

You will install, configure, and maintain equipment, while ensuring documentation and asset tracking are up to date. Qualified candidates have 3+ years of data center operations experience, expert cabling skills, and familiarity with power distribution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Familiarity with power distribution and UPS systems.
• Experience with rack and stack operations.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.

About the Role

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000-75,000/year (USD annual)

Work Schedule

• Full-time permanent position
• Standard business hours with on-call rotation
• Shift differentials for nights/weekends when applicable

Key Responsibilities
