Job summary

Insight Global in Roanoke, TX, is seeking a Data Center Technician to install and cable rack-and-stack equipment, terminate copper, and support site upgrades. You will move between Roanoke and Dallas as needed and assist senior technicians during deployments in fast-paced environments.

The role requires 1–3 years in data center, telecom, or structured cabling settings, hands-on fiber testing, and ability to work onsite with reliability on short-term projects.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience in data center, telecom, or structured cabling environments
• Hands-on work with:
  • Rack-and-stack installs
  • Copper termination
  • Pre-manufactured fiber install, cleaning, testing (NO splicing required)
• Ability to work under direction in onsite environments
• Reliability for short-duration project coverage
• Basic understanding of infrastructure hardware (servers, racks, cabling)
• 1–3 years data center technician experience
• Experience supporting multiple sites or rotating assignments
• Familiarity with fiber testing tools
• Prior telecom or structured cabling background
• Experience in fast-paced upgrade / migration environments
