Job summary

A leading technology company in San Diego, United States is looking for a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure at their facilities. The successful candidate will install and maintain server and network equipment, perform structured cabling, and engage in troubleshooting and documentation tasks. This is a full-time role with a salary of $60,000-$75,000 annually and offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.

Skills

Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Excellent documentation and communication skills

Education

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE)

Vendor certifications (Dell, HPE, Cisco)

Network certifications (CCNA, JNCIA)
