Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Augusta, GA is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team. You will install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment, perform structured cabling, and manage hardware deployments and decommissions in a world-class data center environment.

The role requires 3+ years of data center operations experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills with Cat6/6a and fiber types.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server and network equipment.
• Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities.
• ITIL familiarity and DCIM platform exposure preferred.
• Vendor certifications (Dell/HPE/Cisco) preferred.
• Data center certifications (CDCP/CDCS/CDCE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
