Job summary

Mirapath, Inc. in Ashburn, VA is seeking motivated Data Center Technician Interns (Project-Based) to support installation and deployment projects. This role offers hands-on work with cabling systems, containment infrastructure, and on-site equipment delivery at client sites.

Ideal candidates have an interest in telecommunications, data centers, and networking infrastructure, with at least 2 years in related fields and a strong work ethic. The position is hourly and may require overtime.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Experience in Rack & stack.
• Experience in Cable dressing.
• Ability to lift/carry/setup a 75 lb. ladder.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening tests required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of low and high voltage cabling projects for clients.
• Cabling rough‑in and termination (all media types).
• Cabling testing and documentation (all media types).
• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cable systems.
• Work with Electrical, CAT 5e & 6 twisted pair, optical fiber, coax, etc.
• Perform all cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, terminating, and testing in accordance with the NEC and other local regulations.
• Basic pipe bending and fitting of conduit.
• Create a positive experience and relationship with all customers through strong communication and outstanding customer service.
• Ensure all equipment and information are on site to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and requirements.
• Perform all work in an organized, neat and quality manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and reliable fifty (50) Data Center Technician Interns (Project-Based) to support installation and deployment projects in Ashburn, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in telecommunications, structured cabling, data centers, networking infrastructure, and hands‑on technical work.

The Data Center Technician Intern will assist with the installation of cabling systems, cable containment infrastructure, cable replenishment activities, equipment delivery, receiving, and white-glove installation services at project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of low and high voltage cabling projects for clients
• Cabling rough‑in and termination (all media types)
• Cabling testing and documentation (all media types)
• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cable systems
• Work with Electrical, CAT 5e & 6 twisted pair, optical fiber, coax, etc.
