Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a DCT L2 (Data Center Technician Level 2) to support a broad range of mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems in our Chicago facility. You will review drawings, contribute to preventive maintenance, and collaborate with contractors to ensure reliable operation.

The role focuses on maintaining critical infrastructure, optimizing energy use, and ensuring safety compliance while supporting customer requirements and uptime across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire life safety systems used in data centers.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72 and building codes relevant to fire life safety.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical orders to determine processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost-saving approaches while maintaining reliability and efficiency of data center systems.
• Inspects and maintains mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety components.
• Installs and aligns electrical or electronic parts using hand/power tools.
• Monitors and responds to abnormal conditions in facilities systems across Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Life Safety, and Building Monitoring.
