Job summary

Equiliem is seeking an Entry-Level Data Center Technician to support installation and maintenance of structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, and equipment within critical data center environments. This contract-to-hire role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities for long-term career development in telecom and low voltage fields.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of data center technician, structured cabling, telecommunications, low voltage, electrical, or related experience.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and installation instructions.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable infrastructure and fiber rough-in installations.
• Dress, route, organize, and label cabling according to project requirements.
• Perform cable and fiber termination.
• Rack and stack customer equipment.
• Build server racks and complete rack elevations.
• Install fiber trays, ladder racks, power trays, cabinets, and related infrastructure.
• Perform pathway and conveyance system installations.
• Receive materials and assemble required hardware.
• Perform outside plant (OSP) installations, including routing fiber into data center facilities.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and installation specifications.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and communicate professionally with colleagues and management.
• Follow established safety procedures, including PPE usage and OSHA guidelines.
