CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. You will be part of the Critical and Technical Services function, working a day shift in a 12-hour rota of 6am–6pm.

You will inspect mechanical and engineering systems, respond to BMS alarms, and coordinate with third-party vendors while upholding safety and regulatory standards. This role emphasizes reliability in critical client environments.

• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with processes, procedures, and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU’s and utilities during building walkthroughs.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes with safety and quality compliance.
• Follow training and procedures; solve straightforward problems under guidance.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments. This is a day shift role that works a rotational 3/4 work week, 12-hour shifts from 6am-6pm.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU’s and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
• Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
