Job summary

A leading tech firm in South Carolina is looking for a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure in their data centers. The role is full-time and requires experience in data center operations, excellent cabling skills, and strong troubleshooting capabilities. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining server equipment, structured cabling, and monitoring systems. The position offers a salary range of $60,000-75,000/year with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Experience with DCIM platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.

Skills

Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber)

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities

Excellent documentation and communication skills

Education

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE)

Vendor certifications (Dell, HPE, Cisco)

Network certifications (CCNA, JNCIA)
