Position Summary

We are hiring Cable Pullers on behalf of our client to support low-voltage cabling installation within a large-scale data center environment. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on pulling, routing, dressing, and organizing telecommunications and data cabling.


This position is ideal for candidates who are dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable performing physical work, and interested in gaining experience in the data center and low-voltage industry.


Schedule & Employment

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting our client at their data center. Candidates who demonstrate strong attendance, safety, productivity, and overall performance may be considered for conversion to a permanent position based on client needs.


Key Responsibilities


  • Pull and route copper and fiber-optic cabling throughout the data center.

  • Assist with installation of cable through pathways, trays, ladder racks, and other designated routes.

  • Dress, bundle, secure, and organize cabling according to project standards.

  • Follow cable pathway plans, labeling requirements, and instructions provided by leads and supervisors.

  • Maintain proper bend radius and protect cables from damage during installation.

  • Assist technicians with cable installation and related low-voltage tasks as needed.

  • Use basic hand tools and cable-pulling equipment safely.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Follow all data center security, safety, and site-specific procedures.

  • Work effectively as part of a crew to meet daily production goals and project deadlines.


Qualifications


  • Previous cable pulling, construction, electrical, telecommunications, or data center experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Comfortable working on ladders and in elevated or confined work areas as required.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team.

  • Strong attendance, reliability, and attention to safety.

  • Willingness to learn low-voltage and data center cabling practices.

  • Ability to comply with client site access, security, and safety requirements.


Preferred Experience


  • Low-voltage or structured cabling installation.

  • Data center construction or installation projects.

  • Pulling copper or fiber-optic cable.

  • Cable tray and ladder rack installation environments.

  • Construction, electrical helper, telecommunications, or similar hands-on trades experience.
