Job description

Data Center Services Campus Lead

Location: Remote eligible to Georgia, USA. This is an on‑site position requiring a standard five‑day per week schedule in the office. Note: Google's hybrid workplace includes remote roles.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience with data center equipment/environments, including electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems and fire safety systems, and experience with start‑up/commissioning processes.
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and standard practices in the design and construction industry, including track design‑build processes and associated documents and agreement.
Preferred qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross‑functional or cross‑team projects.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives within set goals.
  • Knowledge of facility electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver optimized program communication plans including executive and key partner communications.
  • Determine phasing and metrics associated with program lifecycle that effectively address continuous improvement including Resource Stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources), including near‑ and long‑term objectives.
  • Determine and collect data required to govern programs and effectively drive stakeholder decision‑making.
  • Anticipate change management requirements that are required by program stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of senior cross‑functional leads and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
