Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services in Floydada, Texas, is seeking aSecurity Operations Manager to oversee physical security across multiple facilities, manage vendor relationships, and drive improvements in security practices and incident response.

You will lead post orders, coordinate with security technology teams, and ensure security requirements are integrated into ongoing projects while maintaining service availability.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years overseeing security operations and working with security vendors or contractors.
• At least 1 year in security roles, preferably in a large campus-style or complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of security practices, physical security standards and requirements.
• Proven program or project management experience and resilient leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stay flexible in a fast-changing operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical security operations across multiple nearby facilities.
• Develop post orders, define security procedures, and implement security processes.
• Handle site incidents and respond to real-time security events.
• Oversee daily security operations, patrols, and vendor activity (construction, repairs, planning).
• Identify physical security gaps and drive immediate corrective action.
• Review metrics and use data to improve security outcomes.
• Recommend enhancements to electronic surveillance and access control systems.
• Educate data center occupants and security personnel to reduce false alarms.
• Participate in construction projects and ensure security requirements are built in.
• Support audits, site reviews, and testing of new security technologies.
• Test security equipment, conduct badge audits, and investigate incidents.
• Collaborate with Data Center Operations to balance security with service availability.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates for management.
• Train contract security officers and coordinate with security technology providers.
• Identify process efficiencies and lead site-level security enhancements.
