Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to join our Infrastructure Operations team in the United States. This role focuses on managing and improving site security across AWS data centers in Indiana and beyond.

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The role will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

Responsibilities

• Managing physical security operations
• Developing post orders and defining security procedures
• Handling site incidents and working with security equipment
• Participating in construction projects and driving day‑to‑day process improvement activities
• Managing vendors
• Ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
• Participating in recurring site audits, reviews, and testing new security technologies

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with access control and CCTV systems
• 6+ months of experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment
• Additional education or training in security‑related fields is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of law enforcement, or 8+ years of security‑related professional experience
• 1+ year of team leadership experience
• College degree (bachelor's) or background in: Military (Career/Military Police/Military Special Operations Forces), Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority (Police Academy Graduate), TSA Security Screening, Correctional Facility Officer

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is 28.00 - 50.00 USD hourly. The package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription), basic life & AD&D insurance, employee assistance program, mental health support, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
