Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned security professional to manage physical security operations at our Benton, LA facility. The role includes developing post orders, defining procedures, handling incidents, and coordinating with security equipment vendors to drive improvements.

You will oversee audits, test new security technologies, and ensure policy deployment while communicating effectively with teams across AWS and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience acting as a Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager with duties including interpreting and implementing requirements within the personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines and overseeing security operations.
• 3+ years of experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems (eg. LENEL or C-cure).

Key job responsibilities

The selected individual will be responsible for managing physical security operations, developing post orders, defining security procedures, handling site incidents, working with security equipment, participating in construction projects and to drive day-to-day process improvement activities and managing vendors.

Duties include ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures and participate in recurrent site audits and reviews and testing new security technologies.

Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices and strong written and verbal communication.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience acting as a Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager with duties including interpreting and implementing requirements within the personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines and overseeing security operations
• 3+ years of experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems (eg. LENEL or C-cure)

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience driving campaigns to reduce nuisance alarms.
• 3+ years of experience working with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics.
• 3+ years of experience with excellent verbal and written communications skills in a professional work setting.
• 4+ years of overseeing security sub‑contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction, door repair, fencing, and access controls.
• 4+ years of experience creating and implementing emergency planning programs and physical security countermeasures

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSU).
