Job summary

Fulcrum is seeking a Data Center Quality Inspector I to perform essential inspections of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring safe and compliant installations. You will read drawings, document findings, and assist with time tracking and reporting for daily operations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to safety, with travel as needed to project sites across the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• Two+ years inspecting, testing, commissioning, or operating electrical distribution.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

• Submit LOTO requests and review team reports/time tracking.

• Support continuous improvement through quality systems knowledge.

Job description

As a Data Center Quality Inspector I, you provide superb quality control services for our clients by performing essential inspections of electrical equipment and systems, including switchgear and substations. Detailed knowledge of mechanical and instrumentation is critical to conduct inspections, interpret electrical drawings and specifications. You ensure the equipment and technicians around you comply with company and site safety requirements. Reporting daily about your findings, including time tracking and special inspection reports will be routine. You will approve and submit important documents such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requests, team reports, and time tracking reports. You take pride in assuring that our clients receive safely installed and functional equipment every time. Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Prepare written documentation such as daily narratives (work reports), special inspection reports, and daily time tracking.
• Perform inspections of switchgear, standby generators, protective relays, and other electrical distribution components.
• Submit LOTO requests, review and approve team reports, and time tracking.
• Ensure compliance with all company and site safety requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Welding/Brazing/Soldering standards with an ability to visually identify defects
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, P&IDs, specifications and design drawings
• 5+ Experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial or comparable industries
• Understanding of AWS standards; ISO 9001 Standards; or ISO 9001 Certification
• Understanding of Quality Systems and methodologies for continuous improvement
• HVAC experience
• Comfortable using mobile device (tablet or laptop) to complete checklists

Requirements
