Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Data Center Quality Assurance Manager to lead on-site QA for South Dakota projects. You'll oversee inspection teams, ensure contractor work meets contract requirements, and manage NCRs and punch lists.

Preferred candidates bring extensive construction quality experience, CQM certification, and a relevant degree. This role requires strong communication with the Owner and project team on site.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant construction quality experience.
  • 15 years of experience with construction or quality management preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead inspectors and ensure conformance to contract requirements.
  • Maintain defects list and non-conformance logs.
  • Coordinate QA activities and report issues to project leadership.
  • Oversee punch list and zero-defect walkthroughs.
  • Ensure timely test plan execution and record retention.

Job Description

AECOMis seeking Data Center Quality Assurance Managers to work on site in South Dakota.

Job responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Lead team of inspectors reviewing the construction contractors’ workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with the requirements of the construction contracts.
  • Maintain a list of all defects and omissions.
  • Maintain Non-Conformance Notice and Open Issues Log Reconciliation.
  • Monitor the contractors’ quality program for conformance to the plan throughout the course of construction.
  • Notify CLIENT of test failures and plan corrective actions.
  • Perform Punchlist oversight and participate in Zero Defect walkthrough.
  • Reports critical issues to the Construction Management Lead and provides proper resolution.
  • Provides in put for weekly project reports and monthly progress reports.
  • Serves as the direct point of contact for the Owner, ensuring successful project execution and communication.
  • Summarizing significant test results in progress reports.
  • Verifying that tests are conducted as scheduled, witnessing selected tests, checking test results, if required, overseeing retesting, and retaining test records.
  • Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during all time on site and in meetings.
  • Represent the Client in alignment with contract requirements and project deliverables.
  • Conducts periodic site visits for quality assurance, safety compliance, and project tracking.
  • Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experienceor demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 15 years of experience with construction and/or quality management
  • CQM or other professional certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.

  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • Relocation is not available for this position.
