AWS Infrastructure Services in Ashburn, VA seeks an experienced Project Manager for Critical Projects Implementation. You will oversee construction and infrastructure initiatives in live data center environments, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time and within scope.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction/project management within data centers, strong vendor management, and a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and building systems.

Qualifications

• We require at least 5 years of construction or project management experience.
• We require at least 5 years managing projects in data centers or other critical infra environments.
• We need 5 years on-site construction trades and vendor management across mechanical, electrical, or general disciplines.
• Preferred: 5+ years in power distribution and data center mechanical cooling systems.
• Preferred: BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or similar technical field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion for initiatives.
• Manage construction activities within operational data center spaces.
• Lead infrastructure projects focused on space, power, and cooling optimization.
• Provide technical oversight across electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and act on data from other teams.
• Design and deploy solutions to address operational challenges.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and work independently when needed.
• Manage projects involving electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems.
• Ensure projects align with strategy, commitments, and goals.

Requirements

• Preferred: a BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a similar technical field.
• Preferred: strong ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, balance trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and assess new ideas with internal and external stakeholders.
• Preferred: proven success delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Preferred: ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and complete projects and tasks.
