The ideal candidate brings experience working in data center, mission-critical, telecommunications, technology infrastructure, or commercial construction environments and is comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage data center infrastructure projects from project kickoff through completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate Black Box field personnel, project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customer representatives.
  • Work closely with customers to understand project requirements, timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Review scopes of work, drawings, specifications, project plans, and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate site readiness, material requirements, equipment delivery, manpower, and field resources.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule, cost, staffing, material, and execution risks.
  • Manage project changes, scope adjustments, change orders, and customer requests.
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular status updates to customers, management, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to resolve field issues and project requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor performance, schedules, deliverables, and quality.
  • Ensure projects follow Black Box safety requirements, customer site procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, punch‑list activities, and final project acceptance.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure all required closeout materials are completed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Travel to customer and data center locations as required.
Project Management Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining visibility into schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Develop project plans and establish clear responsibilities, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Track project financial performance, labor utilization, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain communication between field operations, engineering, procurement, finance, customers, and leadership.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and drive them through resolution.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with contractual requirements and customer expectations.
  • Support forecasting and resource planning for upcoming project requirements.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience in data centers, telecommunications, technology infrastructure, construction, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex infrastructure projects from start to finish.
  • Experience coordinating field technicians, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Experience working directly with customers and managing project expectations.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, resource planning, budgets, and risk management.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, scopes of work, and project specifications.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/scheduling tools.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Data center or mission‑critical experience is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to customer and project sites as required.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, customer‑focused Project Manager who understands the demands of data center environments and can effectively bridge the gap between the customer, project team, field operations, vendors, and leadership.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of projects, managing competing priorities, resolving issues in real time, and driving teams toward successful project completion. Experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced data center environment is highly valued.
