Job summary

Batson-Cook Company is seeking a Project Engineer I, II, or III for a groundbreaking 1.5‑billion-dollar data center project in Boyce, LA. The role focuses on contract administration, cost monitoring, and coordination across owners, contractors, and engineers to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate holds a four-year degree with 1–5 years of related experience and will assist in pre-construction activities, reporting, and documentation while upholding safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 1-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Related experience to the project or market the position will serve.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes change conditions with respect to the contract and notifies appropriate parties.
• Ensures all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications; coordinates inspections and testing.
• Assists with constructability reviews and value engineering functions.
• Assembles construction financial data; monitors costs; tracks costs for force accounts.
• Assists in the definition of contract bid packages, coordinating scopes of work, and in preparing the packages.
• Creates correspondence to owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, etc.
• Assist project personnel with daily job reports and schedule monitoring.
• Prepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.
