Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Hardware Operations Manager in Monrovia, IN. You will lead a team of Data Center Technicians, oversee installation and maintenance of server hardware and components, and drive complex installations and troubleshooting across Google's infrastructure.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration (DCOps, NetOps, Security), consensus-building, and managing operational KPIs/SLOs. English proficiency and weekend/night shifts may be required as part of operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing technical teams responsible for installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers.
• 3 years of experience developing and managing managers.
• Experience building consensus and driving results across cross-functional site orgs (e.g., DCOps, NetOps, Security) without direct reporting.
• Experience with process optimization, risk modeling, and performance management (KPIs/SLOs).
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and on shift schedules.
