Google's Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems in the world. Facilities Technicians at Google data centers monitor, inspect, and support physical facilities, including power, cooling, and infrastructure components.

This role emphasizes safety, cost efficiency, and reliability, with on-site leadership during outages and collaboration with global engineering to implement robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of facilities experience in a critical environment.
• Experience with electrical infrastructure, generators, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and electrical safety.

Responsabilités

• Provide effective leadership for critical system troubleshooting and repairs.
• Respond to data center events and alarms as escalation point.
• Monitor plant efficiency (PUE/WUE) and act as onsite technical lead.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to implement technical changes.
• Work with design engineers to discuss new infrastructure with an operational mindset.
