Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) in Dallas seeks a Data Center Design and Build Engineer to oversee end-to-end planning, design and construction of data center facilities. You will collaborate with clients to develop customized solutions that meet requirements while following industry best practices to ensure efficient, scalable deployments.

The role includes leading design solutions, structured cabling, power and cooling strategies, compliance with Uptime Institute tiers, and migration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of power and cooling solutions for data centers.
• Expertise in structured cabling design and network infrastructure.
• Experience in technology migration planning and execution.
• Ability to work with modular construction methodologies.
• Knowledge of data center compliance and risk management frameworks.

This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure that data center deployments are efficient, scalable and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience

Strong understanding of power and cooling solutions for data centers

Expertise in structured cabling design and network infrastructure

Experience in technology migration planning and execution

Ability to work with modular construction methodologies

Knowledge of data center compliance and risk management frameworks
