We’re looking to bring on the most brilliant minds to help further our mission of bridging the digital divide with advanced technology infrastructure that can be rapidly deployed anywhere.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in both Juniper and Cisco core device and switch configurations and equipment and possess extensive experience in cloud networking design and deployment across major platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. The Data Center Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud networking solutions, as well as deploying and managing VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, and VPNs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement cloud networking solutions in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud to meet organizational needs.
  2. Configure and maintain networking equipment from Juniper/Cisco core devices and switches (and others where necessary), ensuring seamless connectivity, optimal performance, and security.
  3. Deploy and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Transit Gateways, and VPN configurations. Hands-on experience is a must.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess networking requirements and develop strategic networking architecture.
  5. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring reliability of services, minimal downtime, and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
  6. Document network configurations, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Maintain clear and organized config records.
  7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to networking and cloud solutions.
  8. Utilize best practices in modular data center and distributed cloud environments to enhance scalability and flexibility.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on data center environments.
  3. Strong proficiency in configuring and managing Juniper and Cisco networking equipment.
  4. Demonstrated experience in cloud networking design and deployment, specifically in Azure and/or AWS/Google Cloud.
  5. In-depth knowledge of VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, VPNs, and their configurations with hands-on experience.
  6. Familiarity with Cradlepoint, Peplink, and Opengear is a plus.
  7. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments both within a team and independently.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Certifications:

  1. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, Azure/AWS Certified) are preferred.
