Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, seeks an MEP Project Manager to lead coordination and delivery of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection scopes on complex data center projects. In this role, you will partner closely with the overall Project Manager, field leadership, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery.

You will drive MEP procurement, review shop drawings, manage how MEP scopes integrate into the master schedule, and support

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction project management focused on MEP.
• Experience supporting mission-critical/data center projects preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-protection systems.
• Experience with MEP subcontractors, procurement, and technical docs.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support overall project execution with a primary focus on MEP systems, including coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Manage MEP subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, schedule milestones, and quality expectations.
• Partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to integrate MEP scopes into the master project schedule and sequencing plan.
• Lead MEP coordination efforts with design teams, consultants, and trade partners, including participation in BIM/VDC coordination.
• Review and manage MEP shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and procurement logs to ensure timely delivery of critical systems and equipment.
• Track and manage MEP-related costs, change orders, and budget impacts, working closely with project leadership to maintain financial performance.
• Support commissioning activities, including pre-functional and functional testing, issue resolution, and turnover documentation.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating risks related to MEP systems, including long-lead equipment, constructability challenges, and system integration.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
