Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Start-Up and Commissioning Specialist to join our global engineering team supporting data center operators, hyperscale facilities and mission-critical infrastructure. You will develop start-up plans, prepare commissioning documentation and execute field activities for mechanical systems.

This role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in commissioning, travel to client sites, and collaboration with OEMs and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Start-Up and Commissioning for data centers.
• Understanding of data center mechanical systems and cooling requirements.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Start-Up and Commissioning Plan development and execution.
• Prepare Start-Up and Commissioning documents per industry best practices.
• Coordinate with OEM service technicians and construction management.
• Apply HVAC and building automation expertise to client projects.
• Facilitate start-up team meetings and maintain action logs.
