Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Texas is seeking a Data Center Logistics Associate for 1st shift to manage inventory, coordinate shipments, and assist in installing server racks.

Day: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. The role involves maintaining an organized workspace, complying with safety protocols, and supporting cross-functional data center operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory and accurately record all incoming items (racks, trays, networking equipment).
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform stock counts.
  • Assist in packing, labeling, and preparing shipments.
  • Assist in setup and installation of server racks and cable management work.

Whatyou’lldo on a typical day:

Inventory Management

Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks & trays, networking equipment, and other hardware

Maintainaccurateinventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped

Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies

Shipping and Receiving

Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments

Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments

Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness

Transport inventory by handusingmaterial handling equipment (i.e.pallet jacks)in accordance withall safety procedures and protocol

Facility Maintenance

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks

Assistwith the disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed

Compliance and Safety

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.

Compile with Data Center security measures and access controls

Support and Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data center operations, procurement, and technical support, to fulfill inventory andlogisticsneeds

Provide support for special projects or initiatives as directed by management

Complete other duties that may be assigned asrequiredwith consideration for quality,safetyand efficiency

Assistin the setup and installation of computer server racks according to provided instructions

Help in the assembly of server racks by following diagrams and guidelines provided by senior team members

Handle basic tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete installation tasks.

Support senior technicians in cable management and organization within the server racks

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum,you’llneed:

To be at least 18 years of age

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year of experience inlogistics, inventory management, or related fields

Familiarity with inventory management systems and software, as well asproficiencyin using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)

The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatinginstructions,and procedural documents

Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipmentsuch asforkliftspallet jacks

It’dbe great if you also have:

Additionaleducation or certification inlogistics, supply chain management, orarelated field

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a faste-pacedenvironment

Excellent communication, collaboration,and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectivelyand safelyin a team setting

Ensure a positive, respectful, and professional attitude if everything you do

Availability to work a flexible schedule, includingpossible overtimewhen needed

This job requires the ability to:

Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to handling server trays and server racks

Use power equipment toassistthe team with safely movingvery heavyserver racks into positionin accordance withestablished protocols and safety guidelines

Carry objects 3-5 feet weighing up to 50lbs, routinely

Stand for prolonged periods of time >4 hours

Walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4-5) miles per day

Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lift.

Tolerate hot and cold work environments
