Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Interiors Architect/Interior Designer to lead the design and delivery of interior environments within hyperscale, colocation, and data center facilities. The role focuses on planning, design, and documentation of spaces including offices, control rooms, and operation centers.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver functional, secure, and occupant-focused environments while meeting project schedules and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in interior architecture/design.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM‑based project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, life safety, and FF&E specs.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design efforts for data center projects from programming through construction.
• Develop space plans for office, control rooms, and employee spaces in data centers.
• Create space plans, renderings, mood boards, and finish presentation materials.
• Prepare architectural construction documents, specs, and details.
• Specify finishes, FF&E, and coordinate materials and wayfinding.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
• Collaborate with architecture, structural, MEP, security, and telecom teams.
• Ensure designs meet codes, accessibility and life safety standards.
• Support BIM coordination and model reviews.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and field conditions.
• Perform site visits to verify design intent and quality.
• Mentor junior architects and designers and provide technical leadership.
• Assist with proposal development and client relationships.
