Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems across AWS data centers.

You will work on standby diesel generators, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and related equipment to help keep services online with high reliability. Expect shifts up to 12 hours, potential travel between sites, and on-site collaboration with multiple teams to meet safety and efficiency standards in a complex

Qualifications

• Two+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Two+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management programs.
• Monitor daily work requests and drive to resolution; manage projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per practices and local regulations.
