Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Austell, GA seeks a Generator Data Center Commissioning Technician to lead installation, testing, and commissioning of generator systems in data centers.

You will verify performance, troubleshoot, and ensure adherence to design specs and industry standards to guarantee reliable backup power for critical infrastructure. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in generator systems, power distribution, or data center commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning activities for generator systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct functional and performance testing to validate system operation under various load conditions.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Document commissioning procedures, test results, and any deviations from specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Provide technical support during integration with other power systems (UPS, switchgear, etc.).
• Assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions during commissioning and post- installation phases.
• Integrate communications into site BMS/Modbus.
