Vision Technologies is seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Foreman to lead installation teams and deliver quality work for our customers in Chantilly, VA. You’ll manage projects from planning through installation, testing, and final documentation, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling per codes and standards.
  • Build telecommunications rooms, racks, grounding, and bonding.

Vision Technologies is seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Foreman to lead installation teams and deliver quality work for our customers. You’ll manage small to large-sized projects or oversee a crew and assigned scope on larger projects, taking ownership from planning through installation, testing, and final documentation.

This role is a great fit for an experienced low voltage professional who enjoys leading by example, developing technicians, and staying involved in the field.

What You’ll Do
Lead Your Team and Projects
  • Work alongside your crew while directing daily activities and setting clear expectations for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Partner with the Supervisor and Project Manager to plan installations, coordinate resources, and deliver work within project schedules and budgets.
  • Review drawings and project requirements to understand the full scope of your assigned work.
  • Establish labor estimates and daily production goals, monitor progress, and help the team resolve challenges.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and project leadership.
Oversee Installation and Quality
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling in accordance with manufacturer requirements, industry standards, applicable codes, and Vision’s quality standards.
  • Lead telecommunications room build-outs, including equipment racks, ladder rack, grounding, and bonding.
  • Interpret cable test results and ensure installations meet project requirements.
  • Train technicians on installation methods, testing procedures, and the purpose of telecommunications room components.
  • Stay current on installation practices and share that knowledge with your team.
Keep the Jobsite Organized and Safe
  • Follow and reinforce site-specific safety plans, Vision’s safety requirements, and OSHA standards.
  • Track onsite materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Complete and delegate project paperwork, maintain accurate records, and train team members on documentation requirements.
What You Bring
  • At least 4 years of relevant low voltage installation experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead a crew and manage small to medium-sized projects while actively performing installation work.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage cable installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and telecommunications room build-outs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documentation.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • A dependable work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented approach.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Basic industry hand tools.
  • Flexibility to adjust your work schedule, work outdoors, and travel as project needs require.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Work may take place in commercial buildings, data centers, educational facilities, hospitals, and other customer locations. Essential duties include:

  • Lifting and carrying materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Climbing and working from ladders, including A-frame ladders.
  • Working from aerial platforms.
  • Crawling, bending, and stretching to complete installation tasks.
