Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical (SMC) seeks an Entry-Level Fire Protection Engineer to execute fire suppression and alarm designs for mission-critical data center projects. Responsibilities include greenfield/brownfield designs and fit-out packages for hyperscale and enterprise clients, plus campus planning and feasibility studies.

The candidate will contribute to a larger fire protection design team, interface with electrical, mechanical, architectural disciplines, and generate plans under guidance

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in Autodesk Revit for drawing development.
• Experience in fire protection design for larger commercial buildings preferred.
• Experience with MS Office tools (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint/Excel/Teams).

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce detailed design documents from schematic design to construction.
• Implement redlines and markups into model and drawing sheets.
• Meet project deadlines, including working necessary hours to complete major deliverables.
• Communicate clearly with team and clients in written and spoken form.
• Coordinate pipe routing and equipment placement with architects and civil/MEP engineers.
• Collaborate with departmental staff on various tasks.
• Maintain excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Follow established QA/QC procedures to meet internal and external requirements.
