Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Data Center Fiber Deployment Lead to steer data center construction projects delivered by colocation providers. You will manage budgeting, scheduling, and documentation while ensuring QA and design alignment.

This role is on-site at Oracle’s Data Center in Abilene, Texas, with relocation packages available. You will supervise contractor coordination, startup, and commissioning phases, drive risk mitigation, and maintain strong vendor relationships to meet project

Qualifications

• 11 years of experience in construction project management in lieu of a degree.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering or a related field, and 7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Master's degree in construction management engineering or related field, and 3 years of experience in construction project management and Doctorate in Construction Management, Engineering or related field AND
• 2 years of experience working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects for data centers by colocation providers, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate design reviews, commissioning plans, and problem-solving documentation.
• Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Manage vendor contracts and performance, including negotiation and compliance.
• Lead startup and commissioning phases to ensure systems are functional and meet specs.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across design, construction, and tenant fit-out phases.
