We are looking for a skilled and versatile Data Center Facilities Technician to provide building maintenance services to our client's facilities. The selected candidate will support on‑site electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs, focusing on non‑critical aspects of the buildings and grounds as directed by the Client Project Manager or designated personnel.

Location: Mccarran‑Sparks, Nevada - approximately 7 miles down USA Parkway

Rotating Schedule - Sunday to Saturday

Shift Schedules:

  • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
  • 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
Responsibilities
General Maintenance Tasks
  • Perform general area cleanup to maintain a tidy and organized environment.
  • Conduct touch‑up painting as needed to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
  • Manage tool inventory and ensure tools are maintained in good working condition.
  • Undertake door repairs and handle the mounting of signage as required.
Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry Tasks
  • Execute minor electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and addressing minor electrical issues.
  • Handle minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and addressing drainage issues.
  • Perform basic minor carpentry tasks to repair or improve building structures and fixtures.
Industrial Cleaning and Mechanical Tasks
  • Address specific or immediate industrial cleaning tasks as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety.
  • Undertake light‑duty mechanical tasks to ensure equipment and systems are functioning optimally.
HVAC and Lighting Maintenance
  • Monitor and replace HVAC filters and light bulbs in designated areas to ensure efficient operation and lighting.
Furniture and Event Setup
  • Assist in hanging wall art and shelving to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
  • Dismantle and install furniture and cabinets as needed for reorganization or renovations.
  • Set up and take down tables and chairs for special meetings or events as directed.
Seasonal Tasks
  • Perform snow removal during the winter season to maintain safe access to the facility.
  • Assist with landscaping and clean‑up tasks to enhance the outdoor areas of the facility.
Special Projects
  • Handle carpet cleaning or replacement projects as required.
  • Undertake other tasks and special projects designated by the Client Project Manager or designated personnel.
Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in HVAC, Critical Facility Maintenance, and Construction Finishing are a plus.

Skills: Proficiency in a range of maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs. Must be able to work from heights.

Adaptability: Ability to handle various tasks and projects with attention to detail and quality.

Communication: Effective communication skills and strong customer service skills to coordinate with project managers and team members.

Safety Conscious: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Problem‑Solving: Strong problem‑solving abilities to address maintenance issues and implement effective solutions.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks.
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly.
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently within various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors.
  • Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses.
  • Ability to differentiate between color‑coded warning signs, labels, and cables.
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide range of temperature inside a facility.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow.
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license for work‑related travel, as required.

Certifications: Any relevant certifications or licenses related to building maintenance are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure

The base pay range for this role is $25 to $27 per hour. This reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long‑term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
