Job summary

Google data centers require trained technicians to operate, monitor, and repair facility systems, ensuring safety and reliability around the world.

In this training role, you will learn Google systems, assist in inspections, maintenance, and repairs of piping, electrical and mechanical components, and support preventive maintenance activities in high-availability data center environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical/HVAC or electrical.
• Experience with Electrical Maintenance, Safety, Systems, Infrastructure Systems, Generators, and Electrical Schematics.
• Ability to work non-standard hours.
• Ability to perform material handling tasks up to 50 lbs with PPE and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to operations, maintenance, and repairs of non-production facilities systems.
• Assist executive technicians (e.g., assess a systems' working order or read blueprints/schematics).
• Follow approved procedures and acquire knowledge of procedural development processes.
• Assist in the resolution of tickets and work orders. Acquire knowledge of work order and ticket workflow.
• Complete all assigned training as scheduled. Be available to work on shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
