Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate, monitor, and support the data center facilities that power our global infrastructure. Your work will involve maintaining HVAC, power distribution, generators, UPS, and related systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.

This role requires expertise in electrical/mechanical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to handle equipment and non-standard shifts in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or related technical training or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years electrical, mechanical/HVAC, or controls/automation experience in industrial/commercial environments.
• Experience in electrical safety, electrical maintenance, or mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and use PPE and safety equipment.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and support data center facilities conditions including HVAC, power, and electrical distribution.
• Inspect, maintain and repair data center systems such as piping and non-critical electrical or mechanical components.
• Ensure environmental and safety standards are met and assist in reducing operational costs.
