Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Texas, Arizona, Oregon, and Utah seeks an experienced Estimator to join our national data center growth.

You will lead small to mid-size estimates, analyze contract documents, and prepare thorough takeoffs to support winning bids. With a bachelor’s degree or diploma and at least four years of estimating experience, you will collaborate with subtrades and suppliers, manage bid documentation, and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in related discipline or equivalent.
• 4 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating.
• 6 months of on-site experience preferred.
• Led pursuits valued at up to $25 million.
• Solid understanding of drawings, specs, and bid preparation.
• Familiar with bid methods: hard bid, GMP, unit price, design-build.

Responsibilities

• Leads small to medium estimates and reviews bid documents.
• Conducts detailed analysis of contract documents and specs.
• Performs full quantity take-offs of labor, equipment, materials.
• Populates tender forms and assists with pursuit schedule.
• Identifies risks related to site, schedule and market conditions.
• Maintains bid documentation for transfer to project team.
• Supports bid day and close of scopes.
• Develops relationships with stakeholders and subtrades.
• Solicits pricing from subtrade partners and suppliers.
• Establishes critical path for estimate and pursuit.
• Leads a small team including mentoring.
