Job summary
A leading data center solutions provider in Austin, Texas is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain critical electrical systems. This role demands at least 3 years of experience in a data center or industrial environment, with a preferred Master electrician license. Responsibilities include performing maintenance on UPS systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and troubleshooting electrical issues. Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or data center environment.
Master electrician license preferred; OSHA or NFPA 70E safety training is a plus.
Responsibilities
Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical equipment.
Install, maintain, and monitor electrical distribution systems.
Follow electrical safety standards and data center policies.
Assist with rack installations ensuring power connectivity.
Test and monitor UPS systems and backup generators.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work and incidents.
Use monitoring systems to track power usage and detect anomalies.
Guide and mentor team members in operations.
Skills
Knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to read electrical schematics
Experience with BMS or EPMS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education
High school diploma or GED
Certification or associate degree in electrical engineering
