Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Start-Up/Commissioning Specialist to deliver start-up and commissioning services for data center clients, including hyperscale facilities and enterprise operators.

You will develop start-up plans, execute commissioning of power distribution, UPS, switchgear, and related equipment, and coordinate with OEM technicians and construction teams across locations. This role requires collaboration, strong organization, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years Start-Up and Commissioning experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Understanding of data center electrical systems and power reliability requirements.
• Knowledge of industry standards for electrical commissioning.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop start-up and commissioning plans and related documentation.
• Execute commissioning activities for electrical systems, utility systems, and equipment.
• Provide energization, commissioning, and visual inspection services.
• Coordinate with OEM service technicians and construction management as needed.
